Over 40 years ago, we launched as Computer Merchants, supplying companies with refurbished IT equipment. We focused on each customer’s individual need which enabled us to provide the ideal product, build better relationships and expand our team. Our offering grew from IT equipment to complete tailored IT solutions and support. Today as Truis, we continue to take a human-first approach and serve companies of all sizes across the globe.
Computer Merchants was founded.
Our founders saw a high need for refurbished equipment in the market, Computer Merchants was formed to fill this need.
Joining the IBM partnership
IBM infrastructure was our bread and butter, and becoming a reseller increased our knowledge and experience in the IT space. We understood that IT solutions needed to be customised to a businesses needs.
Strength in numbers
Increasing our employee numbers and advancing our offering to the market, we partnered with more technology vendors allowing us to offer more complex solutions to our customers.
New facilities and warehouses
We developed our purpose build facility in Seventeen Mile Rocks, increasing our warehouse, office, and lab space four-fold.
A new name and identity
The Computer Merchants name no longer defined us, we updated and refreshed our identity to the Truis you see today. We continue to hold our ‘people first’ approach to business at the forefront of our values.
